Who wants to read text-rich manuals and safety procedures? No one! Unsurprisingly, not much information is retained anyway. Whereas a carefully crafted illustration can often ‘say it all’ in an instant, and also overcome problems with literacy and language barriers. The brain processes images faster and retains a lot more information when a message is delivered visually. This consequently produces a longer lasting impression.
